The Who and Small Faces
Tribute Show

History

The two most exhilarating live bands of the 1960's mod scene, The Who and the Small Faces, riding a crest of popularity on the back of smash hits such as 'I Can't Explain' & 'My Generation' and 'All Or Nothing' & 'Itchycoo Park' were booked on a tour of Australia and New Zealand in 1968. The tour is famous for resulting, after a series of journalist baiting interviews, in The Who being told 'never to return' to Australia by the then Prime Minister John Gorton.

1968: Small Faces and The Who arrive in Australia

The Who are still as popular as ever with Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey continuing to tour to this day. The Small Faces split up in 1969, but have seen a resurgence in popularity, securing a new generation of fans thanks to their influence on the likes of Blur, Kaiser Chiefs and Paul Weller.

The tribute show focuses on the on-stage rather than off-stage antics of both bands and brings together a show that is popular with not only a mod crowd, but fans of live music in general. The show has a run time of around 2½ hours but can be changed to suit venues needs.

SMALL FACES

SMALL FAKERS perform as the Small Faces and are widely accepted as being in the Premiership of tribute acts. They have built a terrific international reputation for themselves as the only Small Faces tribute band in the world, and have played to sell-out audiences all over the UK & Europe. They have performed with the remaining Small Faces members Kenney Jones and Jimmy Winston, as well as being joined on stage by Sex Pistols bass player Glen Matlock, soul legend PP Arnold, and vocalist Chris Farlowe.
